School Holidays 2016-2017
School Holidays 2017 - 2018
Children should attend school for 190 days each academic year. Full attendance is vital to your child’s education. All parents and carers are expected to ensure that their child’s attendance is as high as possible. Holidays taken in term time can seriously impact on your child’s academic attainment.
There is no legal entitlement to a holiday during term time.
The Governing Body at Nessfield Primary will not authorise any holidays in term time unless there are very exceptional circumstances. Such circumstances will be determined through an interview with a senior member of the school’s staff.
If attendance falls below 90% then parents risk being taken to court and issued with a fixed penalty notice for each child concerned and the possibility of losing your child’s place at the school.
If you wish to remove your child from school during term time please fill in a form which is available from the school office and return to school at least TWO WEEKS before the dates requested.
